Training

for individuals

Women’s Safety Services SA (WSSSA) is South Australia’s leading specialist in providing an integrated response to women and children experiencing domestic and family violence.

As part of this work, we develop and deliver professional training for practitioners working with women and families. Our training is interactive, evidence-based, trauma-informed, and designed to support attendees in building their skills and confidence in recognising and responding to domestic and family violence.

We also offer “Domestic & Family Violence: Workplace Responses” for leaders who want to build their skills and confidence in supporting staff who are being subjected to domestic and family violence.

Our in-person training is offered across two semesters each year, with courses currently available for registration listed below

Build your foundational knowledge of domestic and family violence in an Australian context.
Develop an understanding of coercive control within the context of intimate partner violence so you can better support the peoples you work with, and help to shape a safer community for all.
Explore how to initiate and maintain a trauma-informed conversation with victim-survivors who disclose domestic and family violence.
